[Ts-09] Public Environment Report released!!

The Public Environment Report has been released. Please read below about
what you can do:

Here is a link for the PER for TS09 - Unfortunately, the deadline for
response has passed (Nov 19).

The Dept of Defence has indicated that we can still send responses through -
to either the company Sinclair Knight Mertz  (the company in charge of the
process) and/or to the Dept of Defence's Colin Trinder - Director of
Environment Management on:
colin.trinder at defence.gov.au

I recommend sending them to both company and DoD - just in case the company
no longer accepts them. Colin has indicated that he will pass them on and
the DoD will respond.

I haven't read the report but from my discussion with DOD, it seems that
some of the activity will be taking place further north than in the past:
air activities will be based in DARWIN and  a battlegroup will be in the
Arafura Sea (not the Coral Sea) - not around Shoalwater Bay.

Please take the time to have a look - it is over 2 megabites so not
emailable on this list, I think.  If you have a problem, let me know and I
will email you a copy.

I think it is important for groups to send in some kind of response.  Please
let me/us know if you intend to do so - or if somehow we can collaborate...
